Guernsey Liberation Day Cavalcade 2024

The Guernsey Liberation Day Cavalcade is a vibrant procession that takes place annually on Liberation Day, May 9th. It's a much-anticipated event considered a highlight of the day's festivities. The cavalcade features over 100 vehicles, including military vehicles from the Guernsey Military Vehicle Group, classic cars from the vintage Car Club, and even decorated tractors. The cavalcade winds its way across the entire island, visiting all ten parishes. This year, it will begin at Torteval Church and travel through various locations including Vazon, Cobo, L'Islet, Vale Church, before ending with a grand display in St Peter Port. The cavalcade is a delightful way to experience Liberation Day in Guernsey. It's a celebration of freedom, with the various vehicles serving as a moving tribute to the island's history.
